Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Olive Parchment

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings a stylised ginkgo leaf motif together in a rhythmic, scallop-inspired repeat. Fine radiating veins give each fan shape a delicate linework texture, outlined in a soft olive green against an understated parchment-toned ground. The repeating arches create a classic decorative cadence across the wall, balancing organic botanicals with geometric order. Made-to-measure for your exact wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper features a subtle paper texture that adds warmth and depth to both contemporary and period-influenced interiors.

In the room

Because the fan pattern repeats with a steady, structured scale, we find this design adapts effortlessly to different spaces. In a hallway or entryway, the upward arched forms introduce an inviting rhythm on narrower walls, drawing the eye naturally along corridors or stairways. Across a living room or behind a bed in a bedroom, the gentle contrast between olive and parchment provides enough pattern to define a feature wall without visually overpowering the rest of the space.

In smaller rooms, such as a downstairs cloakroom or home office, the balanced repeat creates an enveloping, tailored feel. The neutral parchment base keeps the overall mood bright and understated, while the olive green outlines hold their clarity under both soft evening lamplight and generous daytime light.

Styling it

We like pairing this wallpaper with warm, natural materials that complement its organic geometry. Mid-toned timbers such as walnut, teak, or warm oak pick up the earthy undertones of the olive linework, grounding the pattern nicely.

When selecting furniture and decor, lean towards clean silhouettes to let the botanical scallop pattern stand out. Muted upholstery in natural linens or textured wools works particularly well, alongside understated antique brass or brushed bronze fittings that echo the design’s subtle Art Deco and vintage sensibility.

Colour combinations

The design centres on a muted olive green linework over a pale, warm parchment background. To build a cohesive palette around it, consider the following surrounding tones:

• Earthy greens, such as moss, sage, or deep forest green on adjacent woodwork, panelling, or cabinetry.
• Warm neutrals, including soft cream, linen, and warm off-whites for ceilings and neighbouring painted walls.
• Muted ochre, clay, or terracotta accents in cushions, ceramics, or throws to add a subtle layer of contrast without clashing with the green.
