Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Sage Linen

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings an Art Deco fan motif together with botanical inspiration, arranging stylised ginkgo leaves into an orderly, scalloped repeat. Fine radial line work inside each fan gives the pattern delicate visual texture, while muted sage green outlines set against a soft linen-beige backdrop keep the overall contrast gentle and balanced. Created by Wallism Studio, this design offers a calm rhythm that works effortlessly across both compact and expansive spaces. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because the repeating fan pattern has a measured scale and moderate contrast, we find it adapts comfortably to different wall layouts. In a bedroom or living room, it works beautifully across all four walls to create an enveloping, cohesive atmosphere without overwhelming the eye. It is equally effective on a feature wall behind a bedhead or a dining table, where the geometric arches provide a subtle architectural backdrop. For hallways, staircases, and entryways, the scalloped flow of the ginkgo leaves introduces a graceful vertical cadence that draws the eye upward and visually links connected spaces.

Styling it

We like pairing this wallpaper with interiors that celebrate clean silhouettes and balanced materials. Mid-century modern furniture, soft contemporary shapes, or classic Art Deco touches all sit naturally against the arching motifs.

To complement the delicate line work, we would keep surrounding materials refined. Warm wood furniture, such as honey oak or walnut, grounds the sage tones and adds warmth. Matte black metal or brushed brass light fixtures and hardware echo the graphic structure of the pattern without competing with it. When choosing upholstery and larger soft furnishings, solid textures in off-white, taupe, or soft grey allow the geometry of the wall murals to remain the primary decorative focus.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper centres on a quiet palette of muted sage green and warm linen beige. When planning surrounding surfaces, we suggest drawing directly from these tones or introducing gentle, tonal contrasts.

Pairing adjacent walls or painted woodwork with warm off-white, soft plaster tones, or pale grey keeps the room light and open. For a deeper, more atmospheric look, matching skirting boards or cabinetry in a rich forest green, muted olive, or slate grey anchors the sage outlines. Earthy neutral accents, such as sand, oatmeal, and warm stone, tie the linen background into the rest of the scheme naturally.
