Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Deep Olive

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings together an Art Deco-inspired fan pattern and refined botanical linework in a rich, deep olive palette. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif arranges stylized ginkgo leaves into an interlocking scale repeat, where delicate pale veins radiate outward against a dark, earthy green ground. The result is a balanced, rhythmic composition that feels both architectural and organic. Produced as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wallpaper with a subtle structure in the paper, it offers a sophisticated backdrop that brings character to any interior.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully across an entire living room or dining room, where its repeating fan geometry creates an enveloping, elegant atmosphere. Because the pattern is uniform and tightly interlocking rather than an oversized scenic mural, it flows seamlessly across multiple walls and accommodates architectural interruptions like doorways, picture rails, and sash windows without losing its visual coherence. In a bedroom, it makes a handsome feature wall behind a headboard, anchoring the space with deep, grounded colour. The olive tones carry enough depth to feel intimate under warm evening light while revealing the fine pale linework during bright daylight.

Styling it

To complement the Deco-inspired botanical rhythm of our wallpaper, we suggest pairing it with furniture and architectural elements that have clean, deliberate silhouettes. Mid-century or classic furniture pieces in warm, mid-tone woods like walnut or teak sit effortlessly against the deep green backdrop, picking up on the design's understated elegance. For metal accents, unlacquered brass, antique bronze, or brushed gold fittings provide a warm, classic contrast that highlights the warm undertones of the olive green. Keeping surrounding textiles relatively unpatterned, in soft woven wools, velvet, or natural linen, allows the structured botanical repeat to remain the focal point of the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is grounded in a deep olive green paired with soft, off-white or light ecru line work. When decorating around it, we recommend continuing those warm neutrals on adjacent painted surfaces, skirting boards, and ceilings to keep the transition soft and harmonious. For deeper accents, rich forest green, espresso brown, or charcoal grey can echo the wallpaper's depth in upholstery and cabinetry. If you prefer a subtle accent hue, muted ochre, mustard, or dusty terracotta provide a warm, complementary pop against the olive foundation.
