Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Ivory Sand

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings a rhythmic, Art Deco-inspired botanical pattern to the wall with stylized ginkgo fan leaves arranged in overlapping arches. Delicate radiating linework sits within each scalloped leaf, creating a gentle balance of organic geometry and fine detail. In the Ivory Sand colourway, warm sandy beige outlines meet a soft ivory backdrop for a quiet, low-contrast palette that feels calm and refined. Like all our wallpapers, this design is custom made to your dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

Because the repeat is orderly and the contrast between ivory and sand is gentle, we see this pattern working beautifully across all four walls of a bedroom, dining room, or hallway. The repeating ginkgo leaves provide enough movement to give a room identity without dominating the space, making it just as effective on an accent wall behind a headboard or a low console table. In smaller spaces such as an entryway or cloakroom, the scale of the fan motif creates an intimate, enveloping feel, while in larger living areas with generous natural daylight, the fine linework across the arches remains crisp and clear.

Styling it

We would pair this design with warm natural materials and clean, tailored furniture lines to complement its subtle 1920s geometric character. Mid-toned wood furniture, such as walnut or warm oak, provides a grounding contrast against the pale ivory paper, while brushed brass accents on lighting or handles echo the warm undertones of the sandy linework. Simple woven upholstery and linen curtains in unbleached neutral tones keep the focus on the rhythmic pattern without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on warm sandy beige and pale ivory. When painting adjacent walls or woodwork, we suggest staying within a tonal palette of creamy off-whites, warm stone, or pale biscuit to maintain a cohesive, soft transition. If you want to introduce deeper colour through larger furniture or painted cabinetry, muted earthy hues like warm terracotta, olive green, or soft charcoal create a striking visual balance alongside the warm sand outlines.
